What do "Lo" and "Hi" Keto-Mojo meter readings mean?

Updated 1 month ago by Erika

Our meter accurately reads ketones from from 0.1 mmol/L ~ 8.0mmol/L.

Lo Readings

For readings below 0.1 mmol/L, the meter will show a reading of "Lo,"  meaning that your ketone levels are below our ability to detect them. If you are getting a low reading, you should review what carbohydrates you are consuming, adjust your carbohydrate consumption, and test to see how the dietary change affects your readings. You could also get a "Lo" reading if you haven't calibrated your meter with the code chip that comes with each pack of ketone strips. (Instructions for coding your meter to correspond with your strips are here.)

Hi Readings

Readings above 8.0 mmol/L will show "Hi," meaning your ketone levels are above our ability to detect them.
